ONLYOFFICE DocSpace app for Zoom updated: account sync and file downloading
We updated our app for Zoom to version 2.0 to bring even more comfortable user experience to you. Besides, the new features from the latest DocSpace release are now available in this integration as well. Read on to learn all the details.
Connect the existing DocSpace account
From now on, you can connect your current ONLYOFFICE DocSpace account to Zoom. So, when installing the DocSpace app, you will see two options available.
If you are new to ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, a free account will be automatically created based on your Zoom data (account ID, name, email). All you need to do is to allow the requested app permissions.
If you are already registered in ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, you are able to connect your existing account – just click Log in and enter your DocSpace credentials.
The same scenario applies, when the host invites other participants to join the app or a document editing session directly within a Zoom meeting. By clicking the Open button, users can choose whether to create a new DocSpace account or connect the existing one.
Please note: In the current app version, it’s possible to connect your existing DocSpace account registered in the US West (Oregon) region. DocSpaces registered in the Frankfurt data server region are not yet supported for sync. We’ll improve it as soon as possible.
Download files from DocSpace
For more effective file management, it’s now possible to download documents from DocSpace via browser. To do so:
- Open your Zoom Desktop and launch the DocSpace app.
- In DocSpace, open the context menu of any file.
- Click Download or Download as.
