ONLYOFFICE enters Crown Commercial Service’s Digital Marketplace
Four ONLYOFFICE solutions have officially been launched on Digital Marketplace, UK government’s platform for tech specialists and software vendors providing services and technology for public sector in the UK.
About Digital Marketplace
In 2012, UK Crown Commercial Service launched an initiative called G-Cloud that consists of framework agreements with suppliers aimed at easier procurement of product and service supply, and Digital Marketplace (formally known as CloudStore) – a service that allows public sector to search for suppliers within the frameworks.
Digital Marketplace is a relatively young but very promising platform: it helps public sector organizations find people and technology for their digital projects:
- Business software like ONLYOFFICE;
- Technical support services;
- Cloud hosting services and physical datacenter providers;
- Tech specialists (developers, designers, etc.);
- Digital outcomes (booking system testing, accessibility audit, etc.);
- User research participants and labs.
Purchasing procedures, agreements and communication is individual and depends on agreed terms between the supplier and the customer. The marketplace itself is, in fact, a trustworthy and convenient place to find these suppliers which together with framework agreement system eliminates the need to run tenders and carry out competition procurement.
