Last week we came back from Stuttgart where Nextcloud Enterprise Day was held, and we are excited to share our impressions with you. Read the article to get the details.

Event: Nextcloud Enterprise Day lets IT professionals like project managers and decision makers discuss changing demands in business and their impact on IT security, and therefore define their own enterprise strategy.

Our role
As a Nextcloud productivity partner, we had an opportunity to hold a presentation which covered the following topics: technology behind ONLYOFFICE online editors, advanced security and collaborative features, benefits of integration with Nextcloud.
Our presenter Ksenia Fedoruk, marketing communications manager at ONLYOFFICE, told the audience about ONLYOFFICE ready-to-use connector for Nextcloud and its roadmap, including the latest improvements such as restricting access to the editors to user groups within Nextcloud, easier work with ODF files, and the ability to connect ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors to your Nextcloud instance. Moreover, we were glad to share the news about the release of the end-to-end document encryption reinforced by blockchain, that is already available as a developer preview in the latest version of ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors. Among other features, it allows users to store and edit documents in the encrypted form in Nextcloud.
One of the questions we were asked after the presentation concerned the difference between ONLYOFFICE and Collabora. There are several aspects here, such as compatibility with certain file formats, service architecture, or approach to security. Our impressions
The event was extremely productive, full of new discoveries and connections: we established new contacts, had business talks with prospect customers and partners. Alex Mikheev, head of our tech support, was glad to discuss several technical issues and suggestions regarding ONLYOFFICE online editors and our integration with Nextcloud.
Surely, it was interesting and useful to hear the Nextcloud team presenting their latest achievements and future plans, as well as enterprise use cases, including the success story of ARD/ZDF (Germany’s public radio and television) that deployed Nextcloud in combination with ONLYOFFICE.
