October was one of our busiest months of the year. Over four weeks, the ONLYOFFICE team traveled to nine events across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America. We met educators, government representatives, enterprise IT leaders, partners, and open-source contributors.

The audiences varied from city to city, but the conversations kept returning to the same themes: secure document collaboration, digital sovereignty, AI in everyday workflows, and smooth integration with existing systems. Here’s a look at where we went and what we shared.

MoodleMoot Europe 2026: Barcelona, Spain (October 7–9)

We opened the month in Barcelona as a Gold Sponsor of MoodleMoot Europe 2026. The event brought together educators, IT leaders, developers, university decision-makers, and learning and HR professionals to discuss the future of education technology and digital sovereignty in Europe.

Our presentation showed how we built ONLYOFFICE Academy, our own learning center, by integrating ONLYOFFICE online editors directly into Moodle. It’s a practical example of how institutions can bring full document editing and collaboration into the learning platform they already use. At our stand, visitors explored how online editing can work in their own Moodle environments.

Open Source India 2026: Bengaluru, India (October 7–8)

At the same time, we joined the 23rd edition of Open Source India, held under the theme “Where Open Source Communities Drive The AI Era.” The program featured more than 50 technical sessions covering AI, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

Shashank Jha took the stage to share ONLYOFFICE’s perspective and experience with the open-source community. It was a great chance to connect with developers and engineers shaping the next wave of open technology in India.

DigitalOcean Open Intelligence Summit & TechCrunch Disrupt 2026: San Francisco, USA (October 12–15)

Two major events ran back-to-back in San Francisco, and together they produced some of the strongest strategic outcomes of the month.

DigitalOcean Open Intelligence Summit

The DigitalOcean event was especially productive. On October 12, we participated in the hackathon and built working demos connecting DigitalOcean Managed Agents with ONLYOFFICE Docs – showing how AI agents can work with real business documents and fit into practical document workflows.

On October 13, we attended the main Summit and joined several tracks to explore what developers were building with these agents and how DigitalOcean planned to support their deployment. We also connected with key members of the DigitalOcean team. Those conversations led to a clear next step: we are ready to package ONLYOFFICE solutions as images within the DigitalOcean ecosystem, giving DigitalOcean customers a simpler way to deploy ONLYOFFICE-based solutions and laying the groundwork for a broader strategic partnership.

TechCrunch Disrupt

At TechCrunch Disrupt, we spent time in the exhibit hall speaking directly with founders and exhibiting companies building AI products, SaaS platforms, workflow systems, and collaboration tools. Among them were Lexsy.io and Reflow.io – both already using ONLYOFFICE Docs – which gave us valuable direct feedback from real-world integrators.

We introduced ONLYOFFICE to many other teams using QR codes linking to api.onlyoffice.com and dedicated landing pages with pitch materials and integration details. The outreach confirmed strong demand for embedded document editing among startups: many companies need reliable document functionality but don’t want to build and maintain editors themselves. ONLYOFFICE Docs are well positioned as an embeddable component for AI applications, vertical SaaS products, workflow platforms, and collaboration tools.

GovWare 2026: Singapore (October 13–15)

Together with our partner Inspire-Tech, we participated in GovWare, a major IT event focused on technologies for the government sector in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

This specialized audience made for highly focused conversations. Our team met representatives from:

  • Government ministries
  • Educational institutions
  • Cybersecurity companies from the Philippines, Singapore, India, Israel, and Azerbaijan

We showcased ONLYOFFICE with its updated interface, which drew strong interest and plenty of technical questions. We also spoke with potential resellers and banking sector representatives about the advantages of ONLYOFFICE over alternatives. Our existing partnerships helped open the door to many new professional connections.

TechSolutions 2026: Paris, France (October 14–15)

In Paris, we took part in TechSolutions, an exhibition dedicated to enterprise technology and digital transformation.

Over two days, we presented our document editing and collaboration solutions, including the new features in ONLYOFFICE Docs 10.0. The response was encouraging: several product demos have already been scheduled with potential clients following our conversations at the booth. We also met with partners to review ongoing collaboration and explore new opportunities as we continue to grow our business network in France.

GOSIM Shenzhen 2026: Shenzhen, China (October 16–17)

Next, we headed to Shenzhen for GOSIM, an event that combined an exhibition and a conference focused on AI and open-source software.

As a sponsor, our logo appeared throughout the venue, and every registered attendee received an ONLYOFFICE brochure. Key highlights included:

  • A productive meeting with our Hong Kong–based partner, Cloud Systems Asia, about joint promotion and sales projects in China
  • Product demos and contact exchanges with fellow exhibitors
  • Networking with attendees from across Asia, as well as Italy, the UK, Spain, and Poland

With dozens of workshops running across parallel tracks, GOSIM offered a rich mix of ideas and plenty of opportunities to connect.

Sociedade Pinguim Meetup: Mongaguá, Brazil (October 24)

In Brazil, we joined the Sociedade Pinguim Meetup at Etec Adolpho Berezin in Mongaguá, São Paulo. This community event brought together students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts for a day of learning and networking. Talks covered new technologies, women’s growth in male-dominated workplaces, and the path to becoming a backend developer.

Klaibson Natal Ribeiro Borges, our community manager in Brazil, presented the ONLYOFFICE project and shared how people can get involved in open-source development.

Dubai AI Festival 2026: Dubai, UAE (October 26–27)

Our October journey continued at the Dubai AI Festival, one of the Middle East’s leading gatherings for artificial intelligence innovation. Over two days, we welcomed approximately 100 visitors to booth G82; and by the end of the event, we had distributed every last piece of promotional merchandise and every business card, a clear sign of strong interest.

We gave live demos of our AI-enhanced document collaboration platform, showing how ONLYOFFICE fits into real business workflows with:

  • Real-time co-editing
  • Smart content generation with AI tools
  • Secure document management in the cloud or on-premises

The visitor mix was diverse. We spoke with potential partners and system integrators, developers exploring editor integrations for their own commercial products, and organizations already using Odoo, SharePoint, or Nextcloud who were curious about connecting ONLYOFFICE to their existing environments. Students also stopped by, viewing our desktop application and cloud portal as tools for managing assignments and collaborating with classmates.

A few conversations stood out. A university lecturer was looking for a more convenient way to handle student assignment reviews and saw our editors as a promising option. We also visited other booths and gathered contacts for potential integrations.

One consistent theme across both days was brand awareness: many visitors were encountering ONLYOFFICE for the first time and were surprised to learn how widely used our platform is globally. At the same time, some were already familiar with our desktop applications, including one attendee from Qatar who mentioned that ONLYOFFICE had come up at their school. The relatively low brand recognition in the region is both a challenge and a real opportunity for further growth.

Codemotion Conference Milan 2026: Milan, Italy (October 28–29)

From Dubai, the action moved to Milan for Codemotion Conference Milan 2026, one of Europe’s premier technology conferences for developers, tech leaders, and innovators. The two-day event brought together top engineers, CTOs, and industry changemakers for expert talks, panels, hands-on workshops, and high-value networking.

The program covered a wide range of cutting-edge topics – AI, cloud architecture, DevOps, security, software infrastructure, and compliance – with dedicated spaces for CTO discussions and deep technical content.

The ONLYOFFICE team was on the ground, showcasing our products and connecting with the developer community. Visitors had the chance to see live demos, explore real-world use cases, and discover how ONLYOFFICE can power modern collaboration and document workflows.

FOSSCOMM 2026: Athens, Greece (October 31–November 1)

We’ll close out the month at FOSSCOMM 2026, the 19th Panhellenic meeting of free and open-source communities. This free, volunteer-driven event brings together developers, academics, and open-source enthusiasts for talks and workshops on digital freedom, privacy, and open technology.

ONLYOFFICE is proud to be one of the event sponsors, and our contributor Efstathios Iosifidis will give a dedicated talk. If you’re attending, come say hello!
