New ImageEditor plugin for ONLYOFFICE DocSpace: view and edit images

The new ImageEditor plugin is now available in ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, giving you an easy way to view and edit images without downloading them to your device. Crop, resize, annotate, add shapes or text — all directly inside your workspace.

About the plugin

The ImageEditor plugin adds a built-in image editing tool to DocSpace, allowing users to adjust visuals and update graphic assets in shared rooms quickly.

Supported formats: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .svg, .bmp, .tiff, .ico

This plugin is ideal for quick edits, small corrections, or preparing visuals for documents and collaboration — all without switching between apps.

How to edit images with the ImageEditor plugin

To start editing, right-click any supported image file in your DocSpace → Edit Image.

An editor window will open with a right-side toolbar offering all available tools:

• Resize
• Crop
• Flip
• Rotate
• Draw
• Shape
• Icon
• Text
• Mask
• Filter

After you have made changes to each section, click Apply to save them.

In the left-side toolbar, you can also zoom in and out, view the history of changes, undo or redo the action, or delete all changes with one click.

To change the image, click Load and choose a new one from your device. To save the current image, use the Download button.

When you’re done, click Save and Exit. DocSpace will apply your changes and create a new file version.

Opening the file in the standard DocSpace image viewer will display the latest version.

To open previous versions, go to Properties → Show version history.

How to configure

The plugin is enabled by default. If you previously disabled plugins, you can re-enable them:

Settings → Integration → Plugins → ImageEditor
