Whether you’re a developer, power user, student, or someone curious about practical AI, this is your opportunity to design custom functions that extend the capabilities of the ONLYOFFICE AI agent, and get your work in front of a global audience.

What the competition is about

The ONLYOFFICE AI agent helps you work smarter across documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. With custom function support, you can extend the agent to fit specific workflows. This competition invites you to design and submit your own functions that enhance the agent’s versatility and value.

You’re free to:

• build a single function that solves a common problem very well;
• create an advanced function that integrates several steps into one flow;
• submit a set of functions that covers different tasks;
• push the boundaries with a function that demonstrates new ways to use AI in office workflows;
• share your unique vision for enhancing productivity with AI support.

There’s no single “right” approach. The jury will consider utility, execution, scope, and creativity across several categories.

Who can participate

The competition is open to everyone: developers, students, tech enthusiasts, product managers, data analysts, designers. So, anyone who wants to create and submit a function.

No formal background required, however coding skills will help a lot. What matters is that your function works and adds value.

Timeline and evaluation

• Submission window: August 20 – September 30, 2025.
• Results announcement: October 2025 (after all submissions are evaluated).

Submissions will be reviewed by the ONLYOFFICE development team. They’ll evaluate:

• how well your function works;
• how useful it is;
• how it handles edge cases;
• how clearly it’s implemented and documented.

Creativity and polish count, but reliability is essential. Make sure your function runs as described.

Categories you can win

To give different types of creators a fair shot, we’ve set up multiple award tracks. You can aim for one or try to hit several.

• The most useful function. A function that solves a common pain point and can help many users right away.
• The most sophisticated function. A technically advanced function that handles multi-step logic, integrates data, or automates a sophisticated workflow.
• The most innovative function. A clever or innovative approach to using AI in office tasks – surprising, elegant, or uniquely effective.
• The largest number of functions. A broad set of useful functions submitted by one participant to cover a range of tasks.

Tip: When choosing your category, think about your strengths. Are you great at shipping lots of small, practical tools? Go for “largest number.” Prefer engineering challenges? “Most sophisticated” might be your path. If you enjoy product thinking, focus on “most useful” with clear UX and immediate value.

Prizes and perks

How to participate: step-by-step

Follow these steps to make sure your submission is complete and considered:

1. Create your function(s)

• Build your custom function(s) for the ONLYOFFICE AI agent and ensure they work as intended. Check the instruction
• Prepare a short description: what it does, when to use, etc.

2. Submit by email

Send your submission in free form to marketing@onlyoffice.com by September 30, 2025. Please include:

• Your full name and short bio
• Your country
• Subject line: “AI Agent Competition”
• Your function files, code snippets, or a link to a repository
• A brief usage guide and examples (screenshots or short clips help)

3. Get confirmation

You’ll receive a confirmation email once we review that your submission is complete and accessible.

Note: By submitting your entry, you consent to the processing of your data (name and email) solely for the purpose of managing the competition. We are committed to storing your data only for the duration of the competition and handling it in strict compliance with data protection policies. Additionally, we reserve the right to use the submitted materials for internal purposes.
