1. A new look for a new chapter
Our editors got a completely new look with a complete redesign of our interface. ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.0 introduced a refreshed, modern interface across all editors.
It’s not just about looks but about clarity, speed, and focus. The new UI makes the experience smoother and more intuitive than ever.
2. Following the AI trends
Trying to keep up with the latest trends, we added AI tools to ONLYOFFICE, and we’re constantly improving them to make your work easier. AI assistants in documents, spreadsheets, and presentations help draft texts, summarize content, translate, polish your writing, build macros, etc.
But here’s what sets it apart: freedom of choice. You decide which model to use — from OpenAI, Grok, Mistral, and Ollama to your own private instance — all with full privacy in mind.
3. Growing universe of editors
The editors’ family expanded with a full-featured collaborative PDF form editor, making real-time co-editing possible. Users can now edit text, manage objects, annotate, and organize pages together.
We also launched a Diagram Viewer to support formats like Visio and ODG, allowing users to open and interact with complex technical drawings directly inside ONLYOFFICE.
We’ve welcomed even more formats into ONLYOFFICE — Apple formats (Pages, Numbers, Keynote), Visio files (VSDX), OpenDocument graphics (ODG), and Markdown — making it easier to open, view, and edit whatever comes your way.
4. Going global: branch in China
This year, we expanded — we opened a new ONLYOFFICE branch in China. This way, our Chinese users and partners will be able to interact with us more straightforwardly and comfortably.
5. Certificates and recognition
Recognition matters — not just as awards on a shelf but as proof of our commitment to quality and reliability. ONLYOFFICE proudly earned the Gold award at the IT-Awards 2024 in cloud content management.
This year we are nominated for IT-Awards for the fifth time in a row. Let’s make it to the winners’ list together!
Beyond awards, we expanded our reach with official certifications for use on a robust, secure, and enterprise-focused Chinese operating system, Fangde OS.
6. Real stories that inspire us
Nothing inspires us more than hearing how ONLYOFFICE fits into real workflows:
- In Lyon, ONLYOFFICE became part of the city’s official digital infrastructure — a major step in bringing open productivity tools into civic use.
- German firefighters using ONLYOFFICE Docs to manage incident reports in real time.

- NGOs like ATTAC Deutschland use Docs to coordinate across borders.
- Creatives like Eunice shared how our editors became a part of her daily life.

8. Learning and growing — together
We launched the ONLYOFFICE Academy, a comprehensive online platform designed to revolutionize the way you learn to master the ONLYOFFICE editors.

9. Fresh perspectives from our interns
Our internship program welcomed brilliant new voices this year. Stories from Fiona, Suman, Dea, and others gave us a glimpse into how the next generation sees ONLYOFFICE — not just as a tool, but as a platform for growth, connection, and creativity.
Some of our interns also contributed to the ONLYOFFICE macros — adding real functionality and creativity to the suite: Firat, Owais, Aleksa, and Vukasin.
We also continue supporting regional student initiatives like the OSPP program in China, helping young developers make their first contributions to open-source projects.

10. Bringing ONLYOFFICE to the world
One of the most important parts of our community is our amazing team of translators, who help bring ONLYOFFICE to people all over the world. Thanks to them, our editors speak 45 languages — and we’re always looking to add more.
This year, we added support for Albanian, Urdu, and, Hebrew interface languages.

11. Improving right-to-left language support
To make ONLYOFFICE truly accessible, we continued improving our RTL (right-to-left) support. Following the growing demand for better accessibility, we enhanced our support for RTL (right-to-left) languages. This year, we made significant progress in improving the layout and alignment of text documents and presentations — and added full RTL support in spreadsheets.
12. Shaping the future together
We launched a new public feedback platform — a dedicated space where users can suggest features, vote for improvements, and track our roadmap in real time.

13. Editors milestones
Our journey has been marked by continuous innovation in ONLYOFFICE editors:
- ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.2 came with PDF collaborative editing, a revamped interface, optimized performance, and RTL in sheets.
- ONLYOFFICE Docs 8.3 featured PDF stamps, Merge Shapes, and support for Pages, Keynote, Numbers, and HWP formats.
- ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.0 provided users with flawless interface, Diagram Viewer, support for .md files, AI-powered sheets & macros.
14. Collaborative platform milestones
Our collaborative platform ONLYOFFICE DocSpace has been all about making collaboration smarter and more seamless:
- DocSpace 2.6 introduced Form Filling Rooms, LDAP, polished room and file management.
- DocSpace 3.0 rolled out Virtual Data Rooms, updated user types, OAuth 2.0
- DocSpace 3.1 role-based form filling in VDR, room templates, and improved guest management.
- DocSpace 3.2 focused on Wallet & Services, invitation settings, and more.
