With the version 9.0 release, you can enjoy a fresh new look in our editors by choosing between the newly added Modern Light and Modern Dark themes with redesigned UI elements and icons. The redefined interface focuses on clarity and ease of use, providing a more intuitive and modern user experience.

In addition to the updated UI in all the editors, the desktop app how has a redesigned start window. Its fresh and minimalistic design allows you to quickly access the desired options without getting distracted by unnecessary elements.

Brand-new Diagram Viewer

The functionality of the suite has been significantly expanded in version 9.0 due to an integrated tool for visualizing diagrams. ONLYOFFICE Diagram Viewer allows you to open and view diagrams on various platforms and devices, including PC and laptops.

New supported file formats

In addition to .vsdx files supported by the brand-new ONLYOFFICE Diagram Viewer, version 9.0 also introduces some more compatible file formats:

• Markdown files (.md);
• OpenDocument Graphic files (.odg);
• .xlsb files (editable without pre-conversion).

Groundbreaking AI enhancements

Apart from the visual improvements and extended file format support, version 9.0 brings some useful AI tools designed to boost your productivity:

• Extract text from scanned PDF files using the OCR feature;
• Apply smart formulas and run complex data analysis with the new AI functionality in spreadsheets;

The latest version of the ONLYOFFICE suite brings some useful improvements for the RTL support:

• RLT support in spreadsheets;

• RTL and LTR text direction change in presentations and PDFs.

Spelling language detection option for Linux

With the new version, Linux users can enable or disable the Spelling language detection option in Settings, which makes it easier and more convenient to type text if you often switch between different keyboard languages.

Printing without using the system dialogue

ONLYOFFICE Desktop Editors 9.0 makes it possible to quickly print files without using the system dialogue. When you access the printing settings via the File tab and the Print option or the Print file option on the top toolbar, you can print you file directly. If you still prefer using the system dialogue, you can use the corresponding option in the settings.

File association in the .exe installation

When installing the desktop app on Windows 10 or higher, the .exe installation allows you to choose which file formats will be associated with ONLYOFFICE. You can quickly select all available options or manually choose the ones you need.
