ONLYOFFICE apps for Odoo updated: PDF form creation, updated Templates, and more
We’ve updated our ONLYOFFICE integration apps for Odoo Community and Enterprise and the dedicated Templates app. This update brings PDF form creation, access rights enhancements, and improvements for templates.
Odoo Enterprise
PDF form creation
You can now create interactive fillable PDF forms from scratch right in the Document module.
Build PDF forms with various field types from the Forms tab:
- Text fields
- Combo boxes
- Dropdown lists
- Checkboxes
- Radio buttons
- Images
- Signature fields
- E-mail addresses
- And others

Opening the editor in the same tab
A new setting allows you to open documents in the same browser tab instead of a new one. This keeps your workspace cleaner and avoids multiple tabs during document editing.
When creating a new file via the ONLYOFFICE button, it now respects the setting and opens accordingly.
Where to find: Settings -> ONLYOFFICE -> Open file in the same tab
Users without system parameter access can also set the same tab configuration.
Improved access control for documents
To enhance document security and collaboration, files that are locked by another user can no longer be opened or edited, preventing unauthorized data access. Additionally, users without access rights are now restricted from opening documents even in read-only mode.

- open documents with file extensions in capital letters
Odoo Community
Apart from the opening file in the same tab parameter, the integration app for Odoo Community also gets some improvements.
- Return to file location after editing
- Shardkey in query string
- JWT lifetime setting
- Default document template for unsupported language
- New empty file templates added for: Basque, Finnish, Galician, Hebrew, Norwegian, Turkish, and Traditional Chinese.
ONLYOFFICE Templates
New interface for template creation
The interface for creating templates has been redesigned, offering a more intuitive experience.

Template preview before filling
Users can preview a template before uploading it. This ensures they’re working with the right document and lets to check that all the data is correct.
Where to find: Action -> Print with ONLYOFFICE -> Preview
Batch print in list view
You can now select multiple templates and print them in one go directly from the list view — ideal for document-heavy workflows. The files will be downloaded into a zip archive.
