<h2>ONLYOFFICE connector and its features</h2>
With ONLYOFFICE integration app, admins are able to work with office documents and website visitors can view them in the published posts.
Edit files uploaded to WordPress
All uploaded files from the Media section will appear on the ONLYOFFICE -&gt; Files page within admin dashboard.
Users with the administrator rights are able to edit and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) using two co-editing modes, Track Changes, comments, and built-in chat.
The editor opens in the same tab by clicking on the file name. All the changes are saved in the same file.

Add ONLYOFFICE blocks to posts
When creating a post, you can add the ONLYOFFICE element (block) and then upload a new file or select one from the Media Library.

<h2>What you should know before the installation</h2>
To be able to work with office documents in WordPress, you need to deploy a running instance of ONLYOFFICE Docs (Document Server).
You can choose between the <a href="https://www.onlyoffice.com/download-docs.aspx?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=wordpress_connector#docs-community" target="_blank" rel="noopener">free community version</a> or scalable <a href="https://www.onlyoffice.com/download-docs.aspx?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=wordpress_connector#docs-enterprise" target="_blank" rel="noopener">enterprise edition</a> with professional tech assistance, including a special tariff plan for <a href="https://www.onlyoffice.com/docs-enterprise-prices.aspx?from=homeofficeforblog" target="_blank" rel="noopener">home use</a>.
Please note: mobile web editors are available in the enterprise version of the suite only.
<h2>Install the connector</h2>
You can get the app from the <a href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/onlyoffice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WordPress Plugins Directory</a> or download it from <a href="https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/onlyoffice-wordpress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GitHub</a>.
Please note that ONLYOFFICE is compatible with WordPress v.5.9.0 or higher.

Once you get the plugin, follow these steps:
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Plugins section in your WordPress administrative dashboard.</li>
<li>Click Add New -&gt; Upload Plugin.</li>
<li>Click Choose File and select the downloaded zipped plugin.</li>
<li>Activate the plugin.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Configure the connector</h2>
Go to the WordPress administrative dashboard -&gt; ONLYOFFICE -&gt; Settings and specify the following parameters:
<ul>
<li>The URL of the installed ONLYOFFICE Docs.</li>
<li>Secret key to enable JWT that protects your documents from unauthorized access. You also need to specify the same secret key in the ONLYOFFICE Docs config file to enable the validation (further info can be found <a href="https://api.onlyoffice.com/editors/signature?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=article&amp;utm_campaign=wordpress_connector" target="_blank" rel="noopener">here</a>).</li>
</ul>
