How to generate images with Stability AI in ONLYOFFICE

First, you require the AI plugin installed. Follow the detailed instruction below.

Generate illustrations

To generate the image to illustrate your text, just select the text in your document. Then, right-click and select AI -> Image -> Text to image in the context menu.

The process may take a few seconds. Then, the generated image will appear in the document.

You only need to determine its correct position in the document and select its size.

How to connect Stability AI to ONLYOFFICE editors

Install AI plugin

1. Open the editor (Document, Spreadsheet, or Presentation).

2. Go to the Plugins tab in the top toolbar and open Plugin manager.

3. Find the AI plugin in the list and click Install.

4. Close the Plugin Manager and enable the plugin by clicking Background Plugins in the Plugins tab.

If you already have the AI plugin installed, make sure you have updated it to version 2.2.7 or higher. To update it, find the plugin in the Plugin manager and click Update.

Add Stability AI models

1. Switch to the AI tab, open Settings, and click Edit AI models.

2. Click + to add a new one.

3. From the Provider Name drop-down menu, select Stability AI. Enter the API key*. You can get one by signing up on the Stability AI platform. Choose a model from the list.

4. Below, choose what the model can be used for. For image generation, the option Images required. Click Ok.

*Some models may require a paid API key.

Assign tasks to Stability AI models

1. Go to the AI configuration.

2. From the drop-down list, select the AI models that will perform the Image generation task. Save the settings.
