We have officially registered our trademark in China and made our mobile app for Android available on the Chinese software distribution platforms, Huawei AppGallery and Xiaomi GetApps. Read this post to find out more.

China is a promising market that is open for everyone but its trademark regime follows a first-to-file system and so does not recognize international trademarks if they don’t have official status in the mainland. That’s why we decided to register ours. This step allows us to do business in China and enter into partnership with Chinese software resellers and distributors.

More localization options in ONLYOFFICE app for Android

Another good piece of news for local users. Our mobile application for Android is now fully localized into Chinese and Laotian and can be downloaded directly from the most popular software distribution platforms, Huawei AppGallery and Xiaomi GetApps.

Just to remind you, Huawei AppGallery is a software marketplace for Android-based mobile devices. Launched in 2011, it is developed by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and used by millions of users in China and worldwide. This marketplace is an alternative to the Google Play store and comes pre-installed with all new Huawei mobile devices.

Xiaomi GetApps is the official Xiaomi application distribution platform. The application works perfectly on any device with the Android operating system, but it requires the Xiaomi mobile services app installed. By April 2019, the global distribution of GetApps has exceeded 220 billion, with active users mainly in China, India, Indonesia, Russia and Spain.
