ONLYOFFICE attends international events: Cloud Expo Europe 2019

Last week we made our fresh start in coming to the British show, and it was, as no surprise, a vivid experience. Read this post to learn more.

Event: Cloud Expo Europe is held annually in different locations to gather hundreds of European cloud industry leaders under an exhibition hall to showcase their products, speak and learn at multiple sub-events, and, of course, meet fellow developers and establish new valuable bounds.

When: 12-13 March, 2019

Participants: Over 500 cloud software vendors, hosting providers, IoT and Blockchain developers, cyber security and big data experts.

What we brought with us to the exhibition were the cloud office demonstration to look out for some new hosting and developer partners, and end-to-end encryption technology to test it on the field with the corresponding sphere specialists.

Our team was represented by Nikolay, Senior Sales Manager at ONLYOFFICE, and Efstatihios, an individual contributor and open-source enthusiast from Greece who shows great interest and support for ONLYOFFICE solutions.

We were surrounded by the enormous amount of high-end solutions in various sub-sectors of the global cloud industry. Besides going into the long journeys around the exhibition to observe the impressive displays by tech leaders and emerging start-ups, we, too, received a generous portion of attention.

Very diverse public, from tech students to representatives of security and big data companies showed interest in our technologies, including IBM, Huawei, BBC Global News, Alibaba Cloud, BAT and more.

The most attention was focused on using ONLYOFFICE components in web applications and our end-to-end encryption technology (particularly mutual integration, working with third-party solutions, and the core technology itself), coming mainly from developers.

At the same time, bigger companies were more interested in ONLYOFFICE for integration, as well as self-hosted complete corporate solutions. A lot here was devoted to models of hosting that ONLYOFFICE offers, and, again, including the ready solution with encryption and blockchain in the kit.
We have also noticed a wave of ever-rising cloud security agenda, once again proving that we are on the right track.
