ONLYOFFICE connector v2.1.0 for Nuxeo released: document creation and conversion, settings page, JWT header configuration and more
Good news, everyone!
The ONLYOFFICE official connector for Nuxeo has been updated to version 2.1.0 allowing you to create new documents, convert files to OOXML formats, access the ONLYOFFICE settings on a separate page, configure the JWT header and more. Keep reading for more details.
Create new documents within the Nuxeo interface
With the previous version of the ONLYOFFICE integration app for Nuxeo, it was possible to open and edit the existing files only. Starting from version 2.1.0, you are allowed to create new documents, spreadsheets, presentations and fillable forms within the Nuxeo interface.
To create a new file, click the Add content button in the lower right corner of the Nuxeo interface. In the new window, switch to the Create with ONLYOFFICE section, select the desired file location, type a name for your file and choose its type. After that, just click Create.
Convert files to OOXML formats
The updated integration app makes it possible to manually convert DOC, ODT and other non-OOXML formats to OOXML for further editing.
To convert something, find the required non-OOXML file, open it and choose the Convert with ONLYOFFICE option. In the opened window, you need to click Convert, and the OOXML file will appear in the document library. Now you can open it with ONLYOFFICE and edit it the way you like.
Access all the ONLYOFFICE settings in one place
The previous version of the ONLYOFFICE integration app for Nuxeo allowed users to adjust the ONLYOFFICE settings via the nuxeo.conf file. Now you can easily access them on one page in the Administration section. Just click Administration on the right-side panel and choose ONLYOFFICE settings.
Configure the JWT header and advanced server settings
In version 2.1.0, there are some new options which allow you to configure the ONLYOFFICE and Nuxeo integration more precisely. First of all, now you can configure the JWT header and secret key. You can use the standard parameters or insert your own ones in the corresponding fields in the ONLYOFFICE settings section.
Another new option is the ability to configure the advanced server settings. Now you can set the ONLYOFFICE Docs address for internal requests from the Nuxeo server and the server address for internal requests from ONLYOFFICE Docs. These settings are optional. If you don’t need to use internal requests, you can leave the fields blank.
Check the configuration of the ONLYOFFICE connector
The updated connector comes with a new feature that immediately verifies access between the ONLYOFFICE Document Server and the Nuxeo server.
Now you can check if you have configured the integration app correctly. To do so, enter all the parameters in the ONLYOFFICE settings section and click Save. If something goes wrong, you will see an error message saying that ONLYOFFICE can’t be reached.
Other improvements
- Open file location button;
- ONLYOFFICE favicons on browser tabs;
- Fixed the compatibility issue with SAML.
