About the Linux Foundation

The Linux Foundation (LF) is a non-profit technology consortium founded in 2000 as a merger between Open Source Development Labs and the Free Standards Group to standardize Linux, support its growth, and promote its commercial adoption.

The Linux Foundation sponsors the work of Linux creator Linus Torvalds and lead maintainer Greg Kroah-Hartman. It is supported by multiple members such as AT&T, Cisco, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Huawei, IBM, Intel, Oracle, Samsung, Tencent, VMware, and many others.

The Linux Foundation provides various support programs, organizes events, offers training and certification, and hosts a lot of open-source projects, including well-known Hyperledger, Kubernetes, Node.js, Open Network Automation Platform, etc.

ONLYOFFICE in open-source organizations

Last year we joined the OSB Alliance in Germany since we understand how important it is to combine our efforts in supporting various open-source initiatives.

Galina Goduhina, Head of Sales and Partner Relations at ONLYOFFICE:

Our goal is to make secure and reliable open-source software available for everybody. This year we decided to extend our contribution to the FOSS development through the Linux Foundation membership. We are going to support its mission to promote open technologies all over the world.
