Great news, everyone!
Version 6.1.0 of ONLYOFFICE connector for Nextcloud is already available. The updated integration app brings a lot of useful improvements, such as file preview generation, saving co-authors’ names in Version history and more. Keep reading to know the details.
File preview generation
From now on you can see the contents of a file without opening it in a new tab. To quickly preview a file, right-click it and select Details from the context menu. A simple preview window will open on the right. This feature is extremely useful when you are hunting for a file in a hurry or you just need a bit of information from one.
File preview generation supports such formats as csv, doc, docm, docx, dotx, html, odp, ods, odt, otp, ots, ott, pdf, potm, potx, ppsm, ppsx, ppt, pptm, pptx, rtf, txt, xls, xlsm, xlsx, xltm and xltx.
Saving co-authors’ names and local time in Version History
The updated integration app also allows saving and displaying co-authors’ names in Version History. Using this feature, now you can see the names of all the users who have co-authored a document as well as all the changes that they have made.
Version 6.1.0 also displays the local time for each version of the document in Version History.
Using guests’ names from Talk
The updated integration app makes it possible to use Talk in a more convenient way. You can create a chat and share it with external users via an external link. The invited users (also known as guests) join the chat anonymously but they can change their name so that the chat participants can recognize them.
The guests’ names will be used by ONLYOFFICE editors if the guests edit documents shared in the chat. That means that you can easily find out who is collaborating on the document in real time.
- connection testing commands;
