Force Save in ONLYOFFICE

By default, when you are working on a document using ONLYOFFICE editors within your Nextcloud instance, all of your changes are saved to the editors’ cache (Document Server). After you close the doc, all the changes are sent from ONLYOFFICE Document Server to your Nextcloud storage, and your file is saved as DOCX, XLSX, or PPTX.

With the Force Save option enabled, if you click the Save button, all changes to a document are sent to the storage directly. This option can be really useful if you are worried that your document can be lost (for instance, if you have a poor Internet connection).

To activate Force Save, go to the ONLYOFFICE settings in the Administration section and click Keep intermediate versions when editing.

Support for the Chinese language

Great news for Chinese speaking users – from now on they can switch to their native language in the interface settings and comfortably use ONLYOFFICE online editors within their Nextcloud instance.

If your native language is not available yet, you can always contribute to our project and help us translate ONLYOFFICE into the language you speak. Read this article to learn how to join in and get cool rewards for your contribution to our project.

Other improvements

  • images form the storage are inserted correctly;
  • styles for inline editors are fixed.
