Meet ONLYOFFICE at FOSDEM, Univention Summit and CS3 Conference in 2020

At ONLYOFFICE, the first months of the new year are going to be really busy. ONLYOFFICE team is planning to visit Denmark and Belgium to take part in some of the most important events devoted to open-source software developing and cloud computing. To find out more, read this post.

 

Univention Summit

When: January 23-24 , 2020

Where: Congress Center, Bremen (Germany)

The Univention Summit, which is held annually, has become one of Germany’s open-source hotspots for value-added resellers, cloud service providers, and software developers. Under the motto «Be open for digital sovereignty», this year’s event will focus on keeping personal data safe, identity management and implementing IT-technologies in schools. As usual, the summit is going to be a perfect place to get familiar with the latest IT-trends and new solutions, exchange ideas and establish contacts.

The agenda of the summit will allow the participants to share knowledge through lectures, workshops and round tables. What’s more, the intense summit programme will be combined with social activities like visiting the Becks Brewery or going on a guided tour around Bremen’s Old Town.

In 2020, more than 400 IT-experts are expected to participate in the summit.

CS3

When: January 27-29 , 2020

Where: Copenhagen University, Copenhagen (Denmark)

This year, the workshop on Cloud Services for Synchronisation and Sharing (CS3) will be held in the heart of Denmark’s capital, Copenhagen. Preceding the first CS3MESH project meeting, this edition of the annual CS3 conference will traditionally put emphasis on innovative storage systems and their integration with user environments.

Precisely speaking, the CS3 conference will be divided into several tracks covering a wide range of topics of interest:

• general overview of the CS3MESH project;
• novel applications and user scenarios enabled by Sync&Share services;
• collaborative platforms and methods of enhancing file sharing;
• file sync&share products;
• innovative storage solutions;
• technology & research.

We will attend this event not only to find out about new solutions and trends, but also to share our experience and give a presentation about the functionality of ONLYOFFICE and its applicability in the sphere of Sync&Share services. The focus of the presentation will be on the flexibility of ONLYOFFICE online, desktop and mobile editors and how they can be integrated with other file sharing platforms (Nextcloud, ownCloud, Seafile, Pydio and others). We will also highlight the development of ONLYOFFICE mobile applications and security features.

FOSDEM

Where: ULB Solbosch Campus, Brussels (Belgium)

FOSDEM is a free event organised to promote the use of free and open source software and technologies. Every year thousands of developers and programmers from all over the world gather in Brussels to meet, share ideas and collaborate. This year is not an exception and FOSDEM-2020 will be an ideal place to get informed about the latest developments and trends in the sphere of open-source software. We will exhibit together with our partners from Nextcloud and Davx throughout the whole event.

Moreover, we will give a talk about secure collaboration on documents within content management applications. Our talk will take place at Room AW1.120 at 11:30 on February 1.

FOSDEM-2020 is absolutely free and no registration is required.
