That’s great news.
Do I need CommunityServer for that or does DocumentServer work, too?
Hi Matthias! To be able to edit docs in your Nextcloud app for Android with ONLYOFFICE editors you need Nextcloud 18 + v.3.10.0 of Nextcloud app for Android + the latest version of ONLYOFFICE integration app. You can use both ONLYOFFICE Document Server or Community Document Server.
The latest version of the Community Editon does NOT allow editing documents on mobile devcies any longer :-(. It worked until I did the mistake of updating the docker image on my server – now I can only view documents, but not edit them. Even in the browser editing is not possible any longer.
Hello Arno! Thanks for your feedback! The latest update of ONLYOFFICE online editors brought some changes. Mobile web editors are no longer available for the community version. You can learn more about it in this blog post. You can also compare various versions of ONLYOFFICE online editors on GitHub.
Yes, I already learned that using the mobile editing feature needs at least a license for the “integration edition” for 950 EUR. But I use OnlyOffice only for myself and my family and friends and I don’t need 50 concurrent connections – I even don’t have that many users registered on my server.
Eventhough I understand that you also need to pay your bills it would be very nice to have a cheaper integration edition for Nextcloud for private users which is limited to 20 concurrent connections but allows mobile editing as well. Something in the range of 100-200 EUR but not nearly 1000 EUR.
