ONLYOFFICE connector for ownCloud: welcome the new version

Good news, everyone!

We’ve updated ONLYOFFICE integration app for ownCloud to version 3.0.1, offering you a few useful improvements. Learn more about all of them from today’s blog post.

The updated version features:

• ‘Save as’ option that allows saving your documents in the desired format to any folder within ownCloud.
• Ability to insert images stored in ownCloud to your documents.
• Mail Merge feature that allows you to insert content from an XLSX-spreadsheet into your text documents to create personalized letters in a bulk.
• Support for Locale settings within ONLYOFFICE editors by specifying those for the whole ownCloud.

From now on, all ownCloud users are able to test our online document editors without an actual installation of ONLYOFFICE Document Server.

To do that, you just need to install ONLYOFFICE connector and check the box ‘Connect to demo ONLYOFFICE Document Server’:

Please note: this is a public test server that will be available during a 30-day period. Don’t use it with your sensitive data.

Through ONLYOFFICE integration into ownCloud, users are offered a combined easy-to-use collaboration solution that enables the access and editing of office files from the ownCloud front-end in real time. Teams can safely exchange their work and collaborate efficiently on text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

The latest version of the integration app is already available in ownCloud Marketplace and distributed under AGPL 3.0 with the source code listed on GitHub.
