LINAGORA integrates ONLYOFFICE Docs to cover remote users’ needs for real-time co-editing
This year, our editors were integrated into many new web services to provide remote teams with powerful co-authoring tools. In this article, you’ll discover how LINAGORA added ONLYOFFICE Docs to Twake, an ethical, open, and transparent collaborative platform.
About LINAGORA
LINAGORA is a European leader in open source with 20 years of experience. With the headquarter in France, the company is presented in Russia, Canada, Tunisia, and Vietnam.
LINAGORA offers a wide range of products: starting from tools that help manage your IT infrastructure (ESB Petals, LinID, LinPKI) to solutions which allow users working 100% remotely (Twake, Work@Home, LinShare, LinTO).
As for clients, LINAGORA’s software is now used by half of French ministries and public administrations, together with some universities, local authorities, and banking, government, retail, transport, etc.
Key integration steps: users’ needs, choice of solution, implementation
For customers, the most important thing was to be able to open any office document directly on the web and to edit Word & Excel files with several people. LINAGORA, at its turn, wanted an open-source office suite. To meet these criteria, they had two options: LibreOffice and ONLYOFFICE Docs.
ONLYOFFICE Docs has two advantages: this solution has been designed from the outset to collaborate online and to use OOXML as a core format. The choice of LINAGORA is obvious.
Currently, ONLYOFFICE Docs is integrated into two products: Twake and Work@Home.
Twake is an alternative to messenger solutions of Microsoft Teams and Slack. It includes chats, public/private channels, file sharing, video conferencing, tasks module, and document editing. Work@Home comprises Twake and email functionality on top of it in order to fully cover users’ needs.
The editors are easily accessible via the “Edit with ONLYOFFICE” button at the top of the document:
First results and future plans

ONLYOFFICE Docs is one of the key features of the Twake environment. This is an important argument for many of our customers. Working in a team requires file sharing.
