We released the official integration app for connecting ONLYOFFICE Docs to Jira. Now you can view and edit documents attached to a task. Learn more in this post.
Jira is project and issue tracking software. Teams can plan and distribute tasks, track performance, build product roadmaps, and much more. With scrum boards and agile reporting, Jira provides top-notch project management features for any software development company.
To facilitate document workflow, users can attach files to tasks. Attachments are usually screenshots, text documents, and spreadsheets.
With ONLYOFFICE Docs, you can view, edit, and collaborate on text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Files in Microsoft formats (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) can be edited, other popular file extensions are available for viewing.
Full changelog and additional details to the integration are available on GitHub.
There are two major document access rights:
Enable document editing right within your Jira dashboard with the official ONLYOFFICE connector.

Click the ONLYOFFICE Docs icon next to the name of an attachment. The online editors will be opened in a new tab.
After the editing, a document with all changes will be saved as a new attachment. You will recognize it by the name with a postfix.
If you’re editing an attachment collaboratively, the changes are saved in the same file version after the last user quits the editors.
